Entrepreneurship Minor & Certificate
Most universities house their entrepreneurship programs in their Departments of Management; at UNI we do not. We understand that the primary aspects of entrepreneurship are marketing based -- what are you selling to whom at what price and why you are selling it to that person. In short, what need or want are you satisfying or what problem are you solving. Understanding this distinction has allowed us to develop an academic curriculum that truly focuses on starting and managing early-stage companies.
In the Minor and Certificate programs, each student will use the business model canvas to evaluate a business idea, develop financial projections, further develop the business through a business plan, and work with a real company or organization on a strategic or tactical challenge in the company (semester-long experiential project).
