Laurie Watje, CPA

Associate Director - John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center


Laurie Watje is the Associate Director of the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). She is responsible for program, curriculum, financial, and staff development and management for the center.  Laurie also consults with student business clients providing intensive assistance with the financial sections of plans, budgets and feasibility studies. She is the instructor for BUS 2010 Entrepreneurial Fundamentals and MKTG 4186 Studies in Entrepreneurial Ventures and serves as a judge for various state-wide competitions. She also is a guest lecturer on entrepreneurship and financial literacy in the classroom and community. As a Certified Public Accountant, Laurie has extensive experience working with small businesses. Laurie and her husband launched an office supply and print shop in Western Iowa that they sold and currently their family owns a manufacturing company located in Cedar Falls. .
