Academics

The academic mission of the UNI JPEC is to provide entrepreneurship education for student entrepreneurs from kindergarten through college and beyond.  With this focus, the JPEC provides a variety of learning opportunities in both the classroom and outside of the classroom.

Whether you are a UNI student with a desire to minor or earn a certificate in entrepreneurship, are a K-12 student looking to learn about entrepreneurship for the first time, or are wanting to expand your skill-set through various workshops, the JPEC is here to help!

Entrepreneurship Minor & Certificate

Academic entrepreneurship offerings include a minor or a certificate in entrepreneurship as well as seminars, micro-credential and other course opportunities.

K-12 Entrepreneurship Education

The UNI JPEC connects with hundreds of K-12 school students annually to host educational workshops and trainings on the basics of entrepreneurship.

CIPCO Internship Program

The purpose of these internships is to augment the academic programs of entrepreneurial students with experiential learning opportunities. This program provides internships with small businesses, new ventures, economic development corporations, or other worthy programs.

Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute

The Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute (OEI) provides a week of rigorous programming to junior and senior UNI students looking to grow their startup.

The JPEC does an amazing job at offering opportunities for students to expand and grow beyond the classroom. The hands-on experiences were helpful to take what we learned in the classroom to real-life application. Also, the incredibly personable staff do a great job at making the learning process fun!
